Meet Kim
Kim Ritger, M.Ed. CCC-SLP, is the owner of Greater Decatur Speech Therapy. Kim earned a Bachelors degree in Communications Sciences and Disorders from the University of Georgia and a Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of West Georgia. She has over 15 years of experience working in pediatric healthcare facilities and private practice. Through working in both outpatient clinics and in the acute care setting, Kim has gained a unique and expansive skill set to offer her patients and their families.
Kim has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating articulation, phonology, language, fluency, social and pragmatic language, cognitive and voice disorders in children aged 18 months to 18 years old. Additionally, Kim has received specialized training in pediatric feeding & swallowing, completing the Advanced Feeding & Swallowing training and participating in frequent continuing education to further her speech therapist expertise.

Kim believes that communication is one of our most basic functions as humans that allows us to connect and relate with others. When a family is faced with a child that has impaired communication skills, she finds great joy in helping that family learn to more easily communicate with their child-whether it be through words, sign language, pictures, or an automated device.
Kim lives in Winnona Park in Decatur with her husband and 4 children, dog, cat, lizard and fish.
